Thought Ensemble, a Pariveda Company — Why Now?

by

Big news over here as we close out the year – we have been acquired by Pariveda, a 750-person consulting firm in 12 markets across North America! We are now “Thought Ensemble, a Pariveda Company” and I’ll be serving as the Managing Vice President continuing to lead Thought Ensemble within our new company.

Why, after 13 years, did we decide to do this? Well, we weren’t actively looking to sell the company, however, we’ve talked with Pariveda about this possibility for years and came to the conclusion this year that the time was right to come together to make a bigger impact.

With so much of the business transformation work we do being fueled by technology, we are thrilled to have Pariveda’s depth in technology strategy and execution on our team. They also bring strong capabilities in areas where we want to support our clients more, including data strategy, customer experience, and talent development. By bringing Pariveda and Thought Ensemble together, we can bring an even more holistic set of capabilities to solve problems with our clients.

That’s all great, and we all know that the more critical success factor in any M&A is culture. Thought Ensemble’s number one strategic imperative is developing our people, and that lines up perfectly with Pariveda’s purpose as an organization. Also, we share many beliefs that come through in our consulting model, specifically that we build business through long-term relationships and our way is to work with (not on) our clients to navigate ambiguous and complex challenges.

As an organization, we are so happy to get to continue to do all the things we love to do with our clients and in our communities, supported by Pariveda. Growing the capabilities that Thought Ensemble brings is a strategic priority for Pariveda, so they will be investing in us continuing to grow the work we do. We have respected Pariveda for so many years not only because of the impact they make on their clients but also because they are continually recognized as a “Best Places to Work”. Now, we are so happy to learn and grow together with them.

For me, this is a unique opportunity as I was with Pariveda in its early years, working alongside the founders as it got off the ground. This is bringing together two organizations I care about deeply, and while I’m nostalgic about all we’ve created with Thought Ensemble, the reunion with so many previous colleagues and a culture I helped build is happy and fun. I couldn’t be more excited about my new role and getting to focus on the things I love, with the support of a great company around me. Pariveda’s mantra is “Learn. Coach. Give.” That’s how I want to spend the rest of my career.

So many of you have been a part of this “Ensemble” we’ve created over the years and we appreciate you being on this journey with us. I’m so grateful for every one of you, all of those who have created and worked for Thought Ensemble over the years and all of our clients, partners, and friends.

I’m looking forward to connecting with you more soon! Meanwhile, here’s to a happy, HEALTHY, and peaceful holiday season.
