This has nothing to do with business or technology, but I’ll be throwing in random comments on a variety of topics here and there…
I came out of dinner last night around 11 PM on Larimer Square in downtown Denver and was shocked to see Larimer Street busier than I have ever seen it in the three years I’ve lived here. We asked the valet what was going on and he said confidently, “It was totally dead last night because of the VP debate; tonight everyone is out because the bill passed. People are spending money like I haven’t seen in months.” I looked at him a little awestruck and wondered if there could be any truth to his assertion. Really? Do people think this $700B bailout is the panacea to our economic problems? Part of me hopes he’s right, since it really is all about confidence. Go spend money, people!
