I particularly liked #3 (in fact, it cracked me up a bit): “We have never seen anyone else implement our software/hardware in quite the same way that you have.” I’ve heard that said DOZENS of times. Its a great excuse from software vendors to explain why the software isn’t working correctly.
I’d like to add one: “All we need to do is align IT to the business.” This “alignment” cliche is often tossed out as a solution when IT and “the business” (whatever that is) aren’t getting along. It gives cover to people who aren’t really working on strategic solutions together.
