A scorecard is the fastest way to align an organization around making the best decisions and executing the right activities in the right way. Our clients undertake scorecard projects in a variety of situations. Sometimes we include a scorecard in a broader IT strategy project, sometimes our clients prefer we do a focused project on their scorecard.
In either situation, we use a combination of internal and external research, interviewing and facilitated sessions to define a scorecard. While it is critically important to have the executive team involved in the definition of the scorecard, we can minimize the time required of our clients through best practice and custom frameworks.
Every scorecard project has a common set of objectives:
• Select or create an IT scorecard framework that represents the organization’s focus
• Identify and define the strategic objectives and measures within the scorecard
• Integrate measurement and management into ongoing strategic planning and execution activities
• Plan short and long term methods for automation of the scorecard

We know the leading business and technology scorecard frameworks, as well as the pros and cons they offer for unique client situations. Our customized framework with best practice measures can be customized to represent any organization’s objectives.
The scorecard framework integrates measurement and management into organizational planning and execution. And while we do not align with any particular technology solution, nor do we believe technology is critical in the initial scorecard roll-out, we know the options for technology and can help choose the right automation.
